Terms of use
Last updated October 2026
These terms cover the website only. Dispatch work is done under a separate written agreement that you read and sign before we book a single load.
1. Who these terms are with
rigcaptain.com is run by RigCaptain ("RigCaptain", "we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. What we are, and what we are not
RigCaptain is a truck dispatch service. We find and negotiate freight for carriers who hold their own authority. We are not a lender, loan broker, lessor, dealer, insurance company, freight broker, law firm or tax adviser. Nothing on this site is an offer of credit, a lease offer, a quote for insurance or a promise of any rate.
3. Guides are general information, not advice
Our buying guides, glossary and compliance pages explain how financing, leasing, taxes, titles, contracts and regulations generally work. They are not financial, tax, legal, accounting or investment advice, and they do not take your situation into account. Laws, tax rules, prices and lender terms change. Before you sign a loan, lease, purchase agreement or contract, or make a tax decision, read the documents and talk to a qualified professional who knows your business.
4. Calculator results are estimates
Payment, affordability, value, depreciation, tax, cost, insurance, fuel, weight and profit results are estimates built from the numbers you enter and from dated public sources we name on each tool. Example figures are labeled EXAMPLE and are not offers. A lender sets your real APR and payment, a buyer or appraiser sets your truck's real value, an insurer sets your real premium, a scale and the law decide your real weights, and a tax professional decides your real deduction. Check every result before you rely on it.
5. No promise of loads or income
Freight markets go up and down. Nothing on this site promises a number of loads, a rate per mile, weekly income or that dispatch will cover a truck payment. Example weeks and loads are illustrations. The carrier decides every load: the broker sends the rate confirmation to the carrier in the carrier's company name, and the carrier signs it or declines it.
6. Fees shown on the site
Our dispatch fee is shown on the site as a percentage of gross load revenue. The signed dispatch agreement is what governs the fee, how it is invoiced and how either side can end the arrangement. If anything on the site differs from your signed agreement, the agreement controls.
7. Partners and other websites
Some pages link to other companies, including partners we may be paid to refer you to, as explained on our disclosure page. Their products, prices and terms are theirs, and their websites have their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control them and are not responsible for what they do. Mentioning a company, brand or trademark in a guide does not mean that company endorses us or works with us.
8. Using the site fairly
You may read, print and share our pages for your own business. Please do not copy our guides or tools to publish elsewhere, scrape the site in bulk, try to break or overload it, submit false or someone else's details in a form, or use the site for anything unlawful. You may quote a short passage with a link back to the page.
9. Our content
The text, tools, charts, data tables and design on this site belong to RigCaptain or are used with permission. Data from public sources stays with its owner, and we name the source next to it.
10. Forms and your information
When you send a form, you confirm the details are yours and accurate. How we use them is explained in the privacy policy. Sending an application does not create a dispatch relationship; only a signed agreement does.
11. Mistakes in data
Prices, rates, tax figures and rules are copied from public sources with a date. If a source changes or we make an error, a page can be out of date until we fix it. Tell us through the contact page and we will check it against the source.
12. Disclaimer
The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it accurate and dated, but we do not warrant that every page is complete, current or free of errors, or that the site will always be available.
13. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, RigCaptain is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from a decision you made based on a guide, calculator result or other website content. Some states do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
14. Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the state where RigCaptain is organized and by applicable US federal law. Questions go to us through the contact page.
